Cloister Inn depends on its alumni members to be able to provide the facilities, the personnel, the quality food and entertainment and the resources to attract undergraduate members and to be a welcoming Princeton home for all its members. Indeed, the club depends on its alumni members for its very survival. There are many ways you can help support Cloister. Continue down this page to learn more about participating in CloisterFest, making a contribution, volunteering for Annual Giving, or making your own suggestions. CloisterFest Each summer, alumni and undergraduate members get together for a weekend at the club to help with maintenance of and enhancements to the club's facilities. Not only do the participants get the satisfaction of seeing the club improve before their eyes, but Cloisterfest is a time of celebration, renewing friendships and enjoying Alan Aptner's gourmet meals. Check out the Calendar to find out when this years event will be held, and if there is any way you can make it into town, sign up here: Contributions Then, of course, there is always money. Simply stated, Cloister does not bring in enough money from the undergraduate members to pay for the food and the club events. Without your annual contributions, the club would run out of funds within a few years and have to close its doors. And remember, if you identify your contribution as being for the Propect Foundation, it is tax deductible. Volunteering for Annual Giving Running the Annual Giving Campaign takes a lot of labor, making phone calls, writing acknowledgements, recording contributions, mailing letters, even visiting with potential donors. As they say, many hands make light work, and we are looking for as many hands as we can get. And if you have a special skill or experience, say, being able to redesign this web site or having run charitable campaigns for other organizations or just having kept in touch with a lot of your club mates that we may have lost contact with, we would love to know about it. If you would like to help us out with an annual giving campaign, sign up here: Suggestion Box Do you have any ideas on how the club could be improved? How about on ways that the club can better serve its alumni members? Or improving the participation of alumni members in annual giving? Our graduate member body is a great resource for good ideas on things we can be doing better. If you have any thoughts on that, let us know. You can write to Mike Jackman, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, c/o Cloister Inn, 65 Prospect Avenue, Princeton, NJ 08540 or submit your suggestions below
